Bridging Futures: WANA Supports Safe School Access in the Mekong Delta
In the vast and intricate waterway system of the Mekong Delta, boats and canoes have long served as the primary mode of transportation for local communities. While practical, these forms of travel can be risky—especially for students and young children. WANA Beverage was honored to take part in a meaningful initiative that builds bridges to make students’ journeys to school safer and more reliable.
Celebrating the Opening of Phuong Hoa Bridge in Hau Giang
On June 7, 2024, local authorities and community members officially inaugurated the Phuong Hoa Bridge in Phuong Hoa Hamlet, Phuong Binh Commune, Phung Hiep District, Hau Giang Province. This milestone marks another step in WANA Beverage’s ongoing dedication to social impact and community improvement.
Bridge Specifications and Community Benefits
The newly constructed bridge measures 20 meters long and 2.5 meters wide, with a solid load capacity of 2.5 tons. It also features two solar-powered lights. These provide illumination during evening hours, enhancing safety and ensuring smoother mobility for residents—even after dark.
A Unified Effort for Sustainable Development
The Phuong Hoa Bridge project was made possible through a strong partnership between non-profit organizations, generous donors, and proactive local government support. A total of 160 million VND was mobilized to bring this project to life. WANA Beverage contributed 40 million VND to this effort. This collective effort reflects the power of community in driving sustainable change.
