10 tips to protect the heart for you, your family and the community

(As recommended by the World Heart Federation).

1. A reasonable diet, a diet rich in green vegetables and fruits; limit the intake of saturated fats; should not eat salty food.

2. Regular exercise: 30-60 minutes of exercise every day will help prevent cardiovascular diseases and improve working capacity.

3. Don’t smoke, because smoking is the direct cause of heart attack, stroke and many other cardiovascular diseases.

4. Maintain a reasonable weight, help reduce events caused by cardiovascular disease.

5. Periodic medical examination should be done to know the arterial blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, waist/buttock index, and body mass index (BMI). If you know you have multiple risk factors, the more you need to plan to adopt a healthy lifestyle more actively to improve your health.

6. Limit drinking alcohol: because drinking a lot of alcohol, beer increases blood pressure and your weight also increases.

7. Create a clean, smoke-free environment at home and work.

8. It is necessary to have time to relax and exercise gently (if possible) right at the place where you work.

9. In the workplace, it is also necessary to avoid eating too many processed foods or fast foods.

10. Avoid excessive stress and anxiety; Let’s build a united, healthy and effective working environment together.
